Director Zack Snyder is all set to give fans pure zombie mayhem with his Netflix film, Army of the Dead.
Fans are still recovering from his four-hour masterpiece, Justice League and he is back at it again. "Vegas is their kingdom," wrote Zack Snyder as he dropped the trailer of his new zombie thriller. He is all set to bring his version of power-packed zombie action with his Netflix film Army of the Dead. What would an ideal zombie movie have if not heavy machines, a vault to be robbed, a sea of dead walking down the streets of Vegas, and a goddamn Zombie Tiger? Also, guess what?! These Zombies are smart and not just brain slush.
The trailer shows Scott Ward, a former zombie war hero being approached by a casino boss offering a huge sum of money. This encourages him to lead a team of highly trained professions on a high-risk heist only to realize they are in the middle of a zombie apocalypse. The movie stars Dave Bautista, Ella Purnell, Omari Hardwick, Ana de la Reguera, Theo Rossi and Hiroyuki Sanada. Although we could hardly see her in the trailer, it also marks the Hollywood debut of Indian actress Huma Qureshi.
The fact that Snyder had previously made a Zombie thriller in 2004, Dawn of the Dead, has led to fans speculating if the new movie is a sequel to the same. Dawn of the Dead revolved around a group of zombies who are trying to kill a group of survivors who take shelter in a shopping centre in Wisconsin. But it was clarified that it is not a sequel but a remake of the 1978 film of the same name from director George A Romero. Snyder's version looks quite gritty and intense with its high concept, everything that he promised the fans. The movie is set to release on Netflix on May 21.
