'When the whole world becomes silent, even one voice becomes powerful,' that's Malala Yousafzai for us. Born on this very day, she has achieved milestones that only some people do at the age of 21. To celebrate this occasion, the world is celebrating Malala Day today.

At 11, Malala was shot in the head while in a school bus by Talibanis. Reason? She was attending classes and gaining education - which as a girl child she was not supposed to as per the norms there. The braveheart that she is, Malala, at that point of time was already writing some thought-provoking pieces for BBC  After battling through a situation of life and death, she has consistently been working on making education for girls accessible. The social activist believes that women have the power to change the world, only if you invest in their education.

Also, the first look of her upcoming biopic 'Gul Makai' was unveiled today and was trending worldwide on Twitter.  TV actress Reem Shaikh steps into the shoes of the noble laureate, Divya Dutta will be essaying the role of her mother. The movie marks the directorial debut of Amjad Khan and is scheduled to go on floors in later part of the year.
