Moo Deng stands for “bouncing pig” and turns out it is one name people can't keep away from their mouths. Videos of Moo Deng's playful antics of her delight at being sprayed with water, adorable reactions when lifted by zookeepers, and endearing interactions with other animals have captivated audiences worldwide. Thanks to her adorable antics, Moo Deng has brought tons of new followers to the zoo's social media channels. It's like having a little celebrity on staff!
It was through the zookeeper Atthapoon Nundee that Moo Deng started to get famous. He has been sharing content about the animals in the zoo on his social media accounts. Ever since that, the number of visitors has risen from 800 each day to almost 4000 and 20,000 during weekends. He also said that the zoo had to be systematically organized because of the Moo Deng fever.

A female baby hippo from the Thai zoo Khao Kheow is drawing a lot of crowds with her adorable charms. Her diminutive stature and expressive features lend her an almost cartoonish appeal. She has the entire internet encapsulated to just see her nibble her handler without teeth. People have been indulging in this obession with her on the internet, and we love every post.

However, due to instances of people harassing her, the zoo has limited their watch time to just 5 minutes. Along with being famous, Moo Deng even faced harassment by the zoo visitors, like getting water and food thrown at it.
The sad reality is that many of these wild animals we love and adore are becoming endangered each day. It's like we're losing pieces of a really cool puzzle, and once they're gone, we can't put them back. Some animals are disappearing because their homes are being destroyed for things like farming or building. Others are hunted for their fur, tusks, or other parts. And then there's climate change, which is messing up their habitats and making it harder for them to find food and water. The love that Moon Deng is receiving is also a reminder of how we need to be more careful about how we treat the planet and the animals that live on it.
