DisneyPlus and Black Panther's director Ryan Coogler to create a new Wakanda series on the fictional nation.

Oh boy! Can Marvel make our lives any better? According to recent reports, a new series for DisneyPlus is in the talks. The show will be about Black Panther's nation Wakanda. The news of a Wakanda TV series comes after Black Panther director and co-writer, Ryan Coogler signed a five-year overall deal with The Walt Disney Company.

Black Panther was one of the most successful Marvel movies that opened new cultural horizons to the world. With DisneyPlus and Marvel working together and expanding their universe on Television, fans have been expecting new projects to release on the platform. A Black Panther spinoff series focusing on the Kingdom of Wakanda will be an addition to the exceptional lists of series that the studio plans on releasing.

The deal with the director and the company is an exclusive deal that will allow Proximity Media to create television projects for the platform. Proximity Media is run by Ryan Coogler with Zinzi Coogler, Sev Ohanian, Ludwig Göransson, Archie Davis, and Peter Nicks. The Wakanda series will be the first of all the new television series' that the filmmaker will develop for Disney. The deal also enables Proximity to work in other television divisions for the company.
