Taylor Swift announced her new album 'midnight' mid her acceptance speech and Nicki Minaj won the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard award. This and so much more happened at VMAS 2022.

MTV VMAs is the most anticipated award of the year and Hollywood didn't disappoint with some pretty epic candid moments. Over the years, Vmas is known for giving the most iconic moments. From Lady Gaga's breathtaking performance to Nicki Minaj and Miley Cyrus's fun beef on stage, we know we all sit with popcorn in our hands and enjoy just enjoy the tea. MTV VMAs 2022 was aired on Sunday ie. Aug 28 and with no surprise yet again, fans were spared no iconic moments this year as well. Artists like Harry Styles, Doja Cat, Drake, Jungkook, and Charlie Puth were among the big nominees of the award night. Nicki Minaj, Jack Harlow, and LL Cool also appeared in the much-awaited music awards this year.

While Dove Cameron finally won the moon man for the 'Best New Artist', Blackpink's Lisa won a solo award for her song Lalisa. Lizzo applauded herself for her smashing performance of About That Time and her special single 2 be loved after soaking applause from the audience. Conan Gray also performed his song 'Memories' from his sophomore album, Superache.

Harry styles' album Harry's house went on to win him the 'Best Album of the Year', which is obvious because that album has only bops and nothing else. Nicki Minaj performed her biggest hits at the VMAs and we expect nothing less from the queen herself. She also gave a shoutout to her newest album Queen Radio Volume 1 which was a classic Nicki thing to do!

Taylor Swift announced her new album 'Midnight'

While she was accepting her award for best long-form video of the year, she celebrates her win by announcing her new album Midnight which will come out on October 21.

Nicki Minaj bagged the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard award

Well, there's no surprise, that the queen of rap Nicki Minaj was awarded the Video Vanguard award this year. She went on to thank her previous collaborators and even said that she wishes Michael Jackson and Whitney Houston were alive today. In the end, she thanked her fans Barb for always being there for her, and ngl, it kind of made us emotional. She also won an award for the 'Best Hip-Hop'.

Lizzo won 'Video for Good'.

Lizzo is one of the most woke people in the industry, spreading love and only love through her music. She spreads so much positivity in her video itself that it was a no-game for her to win the 'Video for Good' award this year.
