These unconventional roles by Swara Bhaskar are a tad too relatable!

Apart from all the controversies that she is in the news for, Swara Bhaskar has always chosen to give us something refreshing with her unconventional roles!

Swara Bhaskar stands up for causes and speaks her mind unapologetically. She is not shy about being vocal about her opinions on a topic she gravely feels for! But apart from being all of that, she's also one of those actresses who have often chosen roles that were unconventional and gave us something meaningful. It's truly something to create a space for yourself in the industry and society in general as an actress with roles that do not often speak the commercial language and she's achieved precisely this! From Payal Sinha Singh (Tanu Weds Manu) to Sakshi Soni (Veere Di Wedding), Swara's characters have always dropped truth bombs that were much needed!

Even though she started her career much before Tanu Weds Manu, we all got to know and love her as Payal Sinha Singh, Tanu (Kangana Ranaut)'s best friend, who spoke brutal truths that no one wanted to talk about. Then it was Bindiya in Raanjhanaa who was in one-sided love with Dhanush's character. But her much less talked about character is Chanda Sahay in Nil Battey Sannata, a housemaid who wants her teenage daughter to join the IAS as she does not want the same fate for her as her own. So to encourage her daughter to be on the right path, she even joins her daughter's school and start studying again in her 30s. To take up the role of a teenage mother in an early stage of her career was a bold move to make.

After all these projects and many more in her filmography including Anaarkali of Aarah, X: Past Is Present, Rasbhari, Listen... Amaya, Swara became a name to go for doing roles that spoke the undeniable truth in the most unapologetic manner in a commercial space. And who better than Sakshi Soni in Veere Di Wedding, Beanie Bhatnagar in Bhaag Beanie Bhaag, and Rukhsar Siddiqui in Sheer Qorma for an example of this? In a very short span of time, she has made a name for herself and even her characters who brought in a new trend with their bold essence.
