Chhava starring Vicky Kaushal and Akshaye Khanna in pivotal roles and the teaser only makes you anticipate the films this December!
Chhava teaser: Vicky Kaushal will be seen in yet another biopic but this time he plays an iconic warrior from our history. He is embodying the character of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj’s son Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj. The teaser begins with Vicky’s voiceover saying “Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj is called a lion and I am his son, the cub of a lion is called Chhava”. He is seen wearing armour and riding a horse, engaging in battle with the Mughal army and is clearly outnumbered by them. We see Vicky in many adrenaline-pumping moments, blood-soaked as the Chhatrapati and fighting to keep his Swaraj safe. A surprise moment in the teaser was when we saw Akshaye Khanna after a rather long time on-screen and playing an antagonist in the film. As Aurangzeb he looks furious and says “Shivaji is gone but his thoughts and visions are still alive”.
In the end of the teaser we see Vicky sitting on the throne looking rather intense in peak Maratha attire. With the teaser giving us so many cinematic moments from the period era to look forward to, we only wonder how the story will unfold further on the big screen. The film is directed by Laxman Utekar and the film also features Rashmika Mandanna, Ashutosh Rana, Divya Dutta, Neil Bhoopalam and Santosh Juvekar. Produced by Dinesh Vijan’s Maddock Films, the movie will be released on the big screen on December 6.
