#KetchupNow: The Mrs teaser starring Sanya Malhotra looks like another tale of a woman fighting patriarchy

With Sanya Malhotra as the lead, the Mrs teaser gives us a glimpse into a fun-loving woman's fight against patriarchy where she's restricted to the roles she's supposed to play as a wife aka make food and look after the household! 

'Kitchen tales with food as the aesthetic force' to tell the story of a woman's fight against patriarchy should be a genre in itself. Following on the same lines, the Mrs teaser seems to be another story of a woman's courage to break free of her domesticity that's expected out of Indian wives. This film is directed by Arati Kadav, who also made a name for herself with Cargo, a unique sci-fi story layered with mythology and stars Sanya Malhotra in the lead, another name that you can trust to deliver a powerful message while keeping the fun element intact.

The teaser, with an interesting background score, Sanya's dancing, and various shots of delicious dishes that she learns to make to impress her husband and his family after their newly married life starts, impresses as well as leaves you wanting more!

The film is announced to have its world premiere at the Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival on November 17, under the Critics' Pick Competition category. Mrs. is presented by Jio Studios in association with Baweja Studios and produced by Jyoti Deshpande, Pammi Baweja, and Harman Baweja. Apart from Malhotra, it also stars Nishant Dahhiya, as the husband and Kanwaljit Singh  as the father-in-law.
