With the return of the iconic director-actor duos of Malayalam, the Manorathangal trailer takes us through multiple stories celebrating the legendary MT Vasudevan Nair.
We don't always get to embrace legacy because we are constantly bombarded with new stories on various platforms. The new Manorathangal trailer is exactly that and more. With a magnificent ensemble, it feels like the series of the year that fans can look forward to. The trailer opens with actor-filmmaker Kamal Haasan narrating a quote by Aristotle, “In all things of nature, there is something of the marvelous,” he talks about how MT found something incredible in the mundane. He then highlights MT’s visions that have inspired Malayalam literature and cinema.
The series is an anthology based on some of his most notable stories set in different scenarios and periods. The makers stated how the series will focus on the essence and nuanced portrayal of humanity that speaks to universal experiences and emotions. It will include 9 stories by MT, directed by 9 filmmakers with a stellar cast that includes Kamal Haasan, Mammootty, Mohan Lal, Fahadh Fasil, Parvathy Thiruvothu, Harish Uthaman, Biju Menon, Shanti Krishna, Joy Mathew, Madhoo, Asif Ali, Nadiya Moidu, Kailash, Naseer, Aparna Balamurali, Ann Augustine, Durga Krishna, Siddique, Surabhi Lakshmi, and many others. Apart from the cast, fans will also get the opportunity to witness the magnum opus of some iconic actor-director duos like Mohanlal - Priyadarshan, Mamooty - Ranjith, and Fahadh Fasil - Mahesh Narayan to name a few. The series is set to premiere on Zee 5 on August 15.
