Tanya Maniktala's Tooth Pari: When Love Bites premiered on Netflix on April 20 and the Janta seems to be in love with this vampire mystery!
Tooth Pari is an Indian gore comedy series created, written and directed by Pratim D. Gupta. Produced by Endemol Shine India, it stars Shantanu Maheshwari and Tanya Maniktala in lead roles, alongside Revathi, Tillotama Shome, Sikandar Kher, and Adil Hussain in pivotal roles. Tooth Pari is set in dark and beautiful landscapes of Kolkata and the series is about Bikram Roy played By Shantanu Maheshwari, a doctor who is working in a dungeon looking office where he meets Rumi who is a vampire. Rumi stays at Neeche, aka vampires' own prison. The series also shows the chemistry and the story takes a turn when the vampire with a damaged tooth falls in love with a shy dentist on the streets of Kolkata.
Tooth Pari managed to keep the Janta hooked throughout the eight episodes of the series. They found it to be the perfect blend of horror and suspense mixed well with mystery and murder. The Janta is also praising Tanya and Shantanu's performance in Tooth Pari and were happy to see Shantanu coming this far!

#ToothPari is an example of how Indian Sci-fi should be! THIS IS A MASTERPIECE BY @PratimDGupta !
The Indianness, the references, the Easter eggs and treatment is just top notch! Loved the authentic Bengali setting.

okay, #toothpari is probably one of the best horror comedies made in india. the plot is stretched thin but the campy vibes, the use of kolkata, the characters, & the performances (the chemistry b/w shantanu maheshwari & tanya maniktala being a highlight) make it very watchable. pic.twitter.com/CIZJvLCVGZ
