14 much-awaited Bollywood films announced their release dates as soon as theatres in Maharashtra decided to open up their doors.

But then the pandemic hit and everything changed for the better or the worse, the jury is still out on that. But everybody was forced to remain indoors and so was the entertainment sector. OTT emerged as the new knight in shining armour that took over 35mm screens. While there's enough debate going on about how the binge-watching culture has probably taken over theatres, this news of theatres in Maharashtra finally opening their doors is quite a celebratory one.
