The Last of Us is going to be made into a TV show by none other than the creators of Chernobyl. How excited are you?
How often have we heard video games being adapted? Not too often, right? This time around, it’s going to happen and the creator of the acclaimed series, Chernobyl, will be at the helm. Yes, The Last of Us is going to be adapted into a show by the same team, and talks are on with HBO. Isn’t that super exciting?

Sony and Naughty Dog's The Last of Us, was much-praised for its storyline. The post-apocalypse tale that centred around a relationship between Joel, a smuggler in the new world, and Ellie, a teenager who may be a key to a cure for a deadly pandemic. Joel is hired to smuggle Ellie out of a pathetic quarantine zone. While it starts with a small job, it continues to be a brutal, heartbreaking journey where they depend on each other for survival.
While the adaptation of Naughty Dog’s survival adventure has undergone a few forms since it was first announced as a movie in 2014, it will now be a TV show in the capable hands of Naughty Dog creative director Neil Druckmann, and Chernobyl creator Craig Mazin.

The series is most likely to cover the events of the original game, and there is a high possibility of additional content based on the sequel of the game.
The Last of Us won several awards and went on to sell more than 17 million copies across both its original release on the PlayStation 3, and a remastered version on PlayStation 4. We can’t wait for the series to be released, can you?
