Rakul Preet's Chhatriwali made its release on ZEE5 on January 20 and Janta had a lot of good thing to say about it! Have a look.

Chhatriwali is Romantic comedy film directed by Tejas Deoskar and produced by Ronnie Screwvala. The film stars Rakul Preet Singh, Sumeet Vyas, Satish Kaushik, Dolly Ahluwalia, Rajesh Tailang, Prachee Shah Paandya, and Rakesh Bedi. Written by Sanchit Gupta and Priyadarshee Srivastava, this movie talks about sex education and the struggles of not having a separate section for sex ed in schools! Chhatriwali is currently streaming on ZEE5.

Set in Karnal, the film is about Sanya Dhingra (Rakul Preet), an unemployed chemistry specialist, who is looking for a job but simultaneously uses her skills to fight an important societal taboo of educating the youth about Sex Education to battle a serious negative pressure. It shows how there's not a separate section for sex education in schools and should be added to the syllabus. The movie also focuses on how kids should be knowledgeable about both genitals and not just one. Janta seemed to like the writing on this one.

A movie with a social message is what most of us crave in Indian cinema these days. Even though the movie had strong writing the Janta felt it missed its opportunity to be something different than just a sex education movie. Regardless Rakul Preet's acting outshined all aspects of the movie and the Janta didn't waste a single opportunity to appreciate that. According to Twitteratis it's a perfect movie to watch if you are confused what to watch on OTT, check them out!
