Cash

Cash coming on Disney+ Hotstar starring Amol Parashar as a lead looks like a nostalgic ride back into the time of demonization but in a funny way.

In 2016, Prime Minister, Narendra Modi banned old notes of Rs. 1000 and Rs. 500 out of nowhere aka the time of demonization. And there was an insane amount of chaos, ruckus, and confusion amongst the people. But it also gave some of the so-called businessmen an opportunity to do ghabla in the midst of it all. And that is exactly what serial entrepreneur Armaan (Amol Parashar) tries to do in Cash.

According to the trailer, Armaan (Amol Parashar) calls himself “India ka Elon Musk” but has failed in both the start-ups that he's tried his hand at. But when Prime Minister Modi demonetized Rs 500 and Rs. 1000 notes, he finds this as an opportunity to start something new. By converting black money to white money he wants to begin a 'notebandi ka startup' and take a cut from it. And in this new venture, there are two others, Smriti Kaira and Kavin Dave who join in to help. Things become all chaotic when one of the clients, Gulshan Grover, partner of Swanand Kirkire, wants his money back that's actually been converted into coupons. Will Armaan be able to get out of this trouble? We'll only know when this comedy-drama on notebandi hits Disney+ Hotstar on November 19.

The film also takes us back in time when there was a line at every other ATM, and most people believed every WhatsApp forward about the new notes. The film is produced by Vishesh Bhatt and directed by Rishab Seth.
