The Big Bull has always generated news since the time its teaser has been released. This Abhishek Bachchan starrer film is written and co-directed by Kookie Gulati. And produced by Ajay Devgn, Anand Pandit, Vikrant Sharma, and Kumar Mangat Pathak. It also stars Illeana D'Cruz, Nikita Dutta, Sohum Shaha in pivotal roles besides Abhishek. And also has many known faces like Ram Kapoor, Saurabh Shukla, and many more gracing throughout the film.
The film is inspired by the life of Harshad Mehta and the big scam of the '90s but it is not factually based on it. In a lot of interviews, Abhishek revealed the fact that the film also finds its inspiration from Kookie's father and the early life experience of Kookie. As for him and his father, both were in the business of share markets during the same time. In fact, the film is a crime drama film exploring the share markets of the 90s. And does not take the route of being biographical.
