The 2022 Golden Globes announced its list of winners as the awards weren't televised because of all the controversies surrounding ethics and representation.
Amidst all the drama of HFPA aka the Hollywood Foreign Press Association that holds the Golden Globes awards, 2022 Golden Globes announced its list of winners. The drama involved controversies surrounding the organization's ethics, non-diversity, and non-representation, and it was also accused of sexism, racism, and sexual harassment. Last year, 100 Hollywood publicity firms, OTT platforms like Netflix, and Amazon studios took a decision to not participate in any of the events by HFPA which included the 2022 awards until they reform the issues and fix them. NBC, the official channel for the Golden Globes televised event took the decision to not air the awards this time. Many actors including Tom Cruise, Mark Ruffalo, Scarlett Johansson, and many more have returned previous golden globes and boycotted the awards.
Amidst all of that drama, the Golden Globes 2022 list of winners was announced recently without a televised event. From films to television, here's the full list of winners from Succession, Pose, Squid Game to West Side Story, The Power of Dog taking up the limelight and winning big. In a first, Mj Rodriguez, the first trans actor, and O Yeong-su, the first South Korean made history by winning a Golden Globe for their performances. Rodriguez played Blanca on the final season of Pose and Yeong-su won the award for Best Supporting Actor for Squid Game. While in films Steven Spielberg's West Side Story for best actors and Jane Campion’s The Power Of The Dog for best director and best motion picture were in the limelight.
