Thank God was released in theatres on October 25, 2022, with a star-studded cast of Ajay Devgn, Sidharth Malhotra, and Rakul Preet Singh.
Thank God was meant to be a Diwali entertainer, written by Aakash Kaushik and directed by Indra Kumar. It was released on big screens on Diwali, and it was a perfect movie to watch with your family and friends while everyone was in a festive mood. This film stars Ajay Devgn, Sidharth Malhotra, Mahesh Balraj, and Rakul Preet Singh. The blockbuster clashed in theatres with Ram Setu, and The Janta obviously was up for comparison.
It all starts when Ayaan Kapoor (Sidharth Malhotra) meets with a car accident and everything that was in his favor changes. Ayaan is a real estate businessman who is in debt of 16 crores, basically, his business grew out of black money, and then demonetization hits and he goes bankrupt. We can also see Rakul Preet playing Inspector Ruhi Kapoor and Sidharth's wife. Cut to the day when Ayaan gets involved in a road accident and regains consciousness in heaven where Y.D. aka Yamdoot (Ajay Devgn) and C.G. aka Chitragupt (Mahesh Balraj ) provide him a chance to send him back to earth by asking him to play a game called Game of Life.

#ThankGod, as per initial reviews, is inevitable FLOP - poor dialogs, horrible acting by everyone including Juban Kesri teeth
Same kachra afterlife plot stolen by #Urduwood from Hollywood but with added mockery of Yamraj and Chitragupta bhagwan. #Urduwood ka grahan continues— Gems of Bollywood बॉलीवुड के रत्न (@GemsOfBollywood) October 25, 2022

#ThankGod may not have worked at the Box Office but it certainly has added a ‘viewership value’ to #SidharthMalhotra’s filmography… cos it’s 3rd ‘WATCHABLE’ movie of his career apart from #SherShaah & #EkVillain. pic.twitter.com/uZeGyboAti

Dear Sidians, those who spread negativity on Sid's choices of scripts or review of #ThankGod aren't real fans. These are paid bots/accounts to spread hatred. Don't fall for it. Truth is the audience who went to see, are loving it. Some even having a hattrick! #SidharthMalhotra
