Tabbar gave me a chance to learn from the legends: Gagan Arora

Gagan Arora who essays the role of Happy in the critically acclaimed series Tabbar streaming on SonyLIV opens up about working in it.

Gagan Arora who essays the role of Happy in this series opens up about working in it.

Gagan Arora essays the role of Happy, the studious, diligent, and committed son to Sargun and Omkar, played by Supriya Pathak and Pawan Malhotra, respectively. However, as his family’s life is toppled due to an unfortunate incident, he must transform himself. Presenting a shift in perceptions about Punjabi characters, Gagan Arora said “Punjabi characters in any movie or show are often stereotyped as happy go lucky or funny. However, Tabbar gave me a chance to break this stereotype.”

Tabbar is Gagan Arora’s second project with SonyLIV. Offering a glimpse into his character and the shooting for the series, Gagan Arora spoke about his transition as an actor who went from playing romantic roles to the new enthralling and intense character in Tabbar. He also spoke about how Tabbar gave him the chance to work with Pawan Malhotra, Supriya Pathak, and Ranvir Shorey. “More than anything else, I got to learn the craft from such great actors. I hit the jackpot working with such a legendary team.”

Directed by Ajitpal Singh, and produced by Ajay Rai, Tabbar is a JAR Pictures series. Written by Harman Wadala and Sandeep Jain, the show's music is produced by Sneha Khanwalkar.
