The Suez Canal ship that was stuck for six days was finally freed on Monday and Twitter shared their reactions of joy.
One of the costliest traffic jams in the world finally ends as the ship that was stuck in the Suez Canal moves. The ship was stuck in the canal for six days blocking the pathway for other ships to pass. The container ship is now being secured after it was freed by an Egyptian crew on Monday.
Authorities have been trying to unstick the MV Ever Given, a Panama-flagged, Japanese-owned ship that carries cargo between Asia and Europe, that was stuck on Tuesday in a single-lane stretch of the Suez Canal. The ship disrupted the global shipping network. The traffic through the canal is valued at over $9 billion a day which was brought to a halt. Diggers had to remove 27,000 cubic meters of sand, for the ship to finally breakthrough. Soon as the news of the ship finally being freed did rounds, Twitter couldn't help but share their reactions to it.
