We made a list of soulful Bollywood songs that continue to top our playlist despite us forgetting the movies they're from.
Life teaches you many things and one among the many life lessons is that 'good things don't always come in pairs.' Yep, you heard it right! There are times when you realize that just because one dish is good doesn't mean the entire meal is going to be lip-smacking. We may end up with elaichi now and then, but the memory of that biryani cancels it out. Similarly, Indian cinema was able to give us some soulful Bollywood songs even when the actual movie was a disaster.
Music has a way of getting to us, no matter the medium. We now have a list of independent artists who have a bunch of different platforms to share their amazing music on. But in the early 2000s, the only main medium for us to find new music was the movies. And there have been times when we loved one only for us to be disappointed with the other. We all have a list of favorite songs that we know deserved better movies and our love for these songs is independent of the movies to the point where we don't even remember the movie these songs are from. Many of these songs are being remastered or remixed into a Lofi version to give our Reels the oomph it needs.
