The new striking record created by Shikhar Dhawan has left fans of the IPL elated!
While Delhi Capitals (DC) gave out a stunning performance which has led them to pole position in the pointers table of Indian Premier League (IPL):2020 on Monday, left-handed opening batsman Shikhar Dhawan has created a new history of his own. It happened during the match against Royal Challengers Banglore (RCB), this stellar player is now atop of records in hitting the most number of fours in the history of IPL.
This newly formed record stands at 536 boundaries (fours) by Dhawan which is shared by other Indian players that include Suresh Raina at 493, Gautam Gambhir at 491 and Virat Kohli at 489. Dhawan has played a total of 164 matches while scoring a whopping 4,500 plus runs with a strike rate of 124.72 since his debut in the year 2008 at IPL. Meanwhile, this Cricketer is no less when it comes to domestic and international cricket too!
