Vidya Balan's new movie Shakuntala Devi released on the popular digital streaming website Amazon Prime Videos and fans shared their reactions on Twitter.

The latest addition to movies released on digital platforms, Shakuntala Devi starring the critically acclaimed, Vidya Balan premiered yesterday and fans took to Twitter to share their reactions on the same. A tale of one of the most renowned mathematicians of India, Shakuntala Devi has managed to impress the audiences with its screenplay and characters.

The movie is based on a strong, independent and smart woman who finds herself intrigued by maths problems and finding its solutions. A vibrant movie, it also takes the audiences through an emotional relationship between mother-daughter. As the female lead stands as a strong feminist, we get an insight into her incredible life. She stuns people with all her intelligence and chooses to be extraordinary in the world of normal.

Vidya Balan who plays Shakuntala Devi like always managed to impress the audiences with her performance. The movie also marks the actor's digital debut. Vidya has been receiving praises from critics for her portrayal of the maths genius. Director Anu Menon has beautifully dramatized the life of a maths wizard and her struggles to stand out in the man's world. Another actor who is garnering attention for her role in the film is, Sanya Malhotra. In the movie, Sanya plays the role of a daughter who wants a life away and apart from that of her mother's and delivers an earnest performance.

The movie does have its flaws and shortcomings but the performances seem to have made a place in the hearts of the viewers.
