Shah Rukh Khan aka SRK aka King of romance aka the Baadshah of Bollywood is literally loved by everyone and whose effect is only growing with age!
Bollywood has three Khans- Aamir, Salman, and Shah Rukh! Aamir and Salman both came from film families and had their own struggles. But Shah Rukh came from a middle-class family and slowly and steadily made a name and place for himself in the Hindi film industry. From a TV artist who had no plan to enter the film industry as he did not expect himself to be good enough for it to be known as the Baadshah of the industry, Shah Rukh Khan had had quite a journey!
He made his debut in 1988 in the TV serial Dil Dariya and since then he's worked in Fauji, Circus, Idiot, Umeed, Wagle ki Duniya, and many more. People compared him to Dilip Kumar and saw a resemblance between the two. And after much reluctance, SRK made his Bollywood debut in 1991 with Deewana where he played the second lead after Rishi Kapoor. And that's how his journey began in Bollywood which now spans roughly 30 years with more than 80 films that he's starred in!
He never shied away from playing negative roles. In fact, he rose to fame because of that in films like Baazigar, Darr, and Anjaam. SRK also never backed down from playing the lead in collaboration or the hero who doesn't get the girl in films like Deewana, Kabhi Haan Kabhi Naa, Karan-Arjun, and Kal Ho Na Ho. He also played a double role with ease in Duplicate and Don. But he's largely famous for romance and love triangles in films like DDLJ, Dil Toh Pagal Hai, Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, Mohabbatein, Devdas, Veer-Zara, Om Shanti Om, Chalte Chalte, Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi, Jab Tak Hai Jaan, and more.

Irrespective of being popularly known as the 'king of romance' he never backed down from experiments, social issues, comedy, or action in films like Dil Se, Asoka, Swades, Chak De India, Ra.One, My Name is Khan, Main Hoon Na, Don (both), Raees, Chennai Express, Yes Boss, and more. And his supportive roles and cameos steal the show and leave an impact in films like Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Ghum, Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna, Happy New Year, Dear Zindagi, Dilwale, Billu, Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, Brahmastra, Heyy Baby, and more. While he has seen quite a lot of success as an actor, he's also a successful producer with a proud parent of Red Chillies Entertainment.
But Shah Rukh has not become the Shah Rukh Khan only because of his film choices and his ability to play each of these roles with ease. It's who he is as a person that has grown on the audience over the years. While no one can be better at romance than him which has set the bar quite high, it's the respect that he shows to women offscreen that makes him so popular amongst women. His charming, casual witty attitude which is often visible in his interaction with media, chat shows, and social media make him all the more real and open with his audience. His initiative toward working for children, acid attack survivors, and women in India make him even more humanitarian. And his motivational talks around the world make your belief in him even stronger.
He not only took a stand for women receiving equal recognition for their work like their male contemporaries in films (by keeping the actresses' names to come forward more than his) but also did not shy away from taking a step back after Zero to contemplate where he's lacking in his work. He is always a champion for others and never fails to support people. And to be at the position where he is currently and to still not consider himself a good actor shows his humility and the passion that he has for cinema. And even though he has set unachievable standards for romance yet you can't help but get lost in his eyes or the way he speaks his dialogues each time!
They say 'actions speak louder than words' and that holds very true for Shah Rukh! The film's title 'the unbearable weight of massive talent' holds true for his professional career but as for his personal, his immense love for his family is lovable to look at. In his effort to be constantly better, experimental, accepting of one's own flaws, respectful towards others, changing with time, and unapologetically himself he's terribly inspiring. Maybe that's why he is that Khan who still enjoys a crazy fandom and when he says that he is the last of the stars, it stands to be true, as there is no one seen beyond him for whom beyond the level of craziness is seen. And his shine isn't diminishing anytime soon, Happy Birthday, Shah Rukh Khan!
