Exes and O's - Amy Lea
Here’s a quote as my sales pitch for this book: “My entire life, I thought I needed to hold on to love with an iron fist. It was a feeling I needed to trap, to smother, so it wouldn’t slip through my fingers. Little did I know, when you’re with the right person, being in love never feels like the bottom is going to fall out. It’s solid, stable, and indestructible.” Sold? Yeah, so was I.

The Love Wager - Lynn Painter
In this sparkly upcoming rom-com, two people make a wager on who can find love first, not realising what they should be betting on is each other. Spoiler: They get a lot of tacos together. I think that should be enough to convince you. If not, I know what will… fake dating. Yes, you read that correctly! Now, you’re convinced, right?

Happy Place - Emily Henry
If Emily Henry writes it, I am going to read it and make it my entire personality, at least, for a month. She’s the reason behind standards being impossibly high. I can already tell that Happy Place is going to be one of my favourite books of 2023. It is about a couple who broke up months ago. They make a pact to pretend to still be together for their annual week-long vacation with their best friends. This exes-to-lovers, second-chance romance needs to be on every rom-com lover’s radar. Mark your calendars!

Meet Me at The Lake - Carley Fortune
I am going to definitely judge this book by its cover, and conclude that it is going to be beautiful. "Every Summer After" by Fortune was one of my favourite reads last year. So I can not wait for this one! A random connection sends two strangers on a daylong adventure where they make a promise that one keeps and the other breaks, with life-changing effects. Already making space on my ‘5-star reads’ shelf for this one.

Love, Theoretically - Ali Hazelwood
Ali took bookstagram by storm with her debut novel "The Love Hypothesis" and kept it going with her second one. She’s back with a bang to deliver for the third time. I am super excited! Rival physicists collide in a vortex of academic feuds and fake dating shenanigans in this delightfully STEMinist romcom. She had me at hate-to-love, to be honest, and when you add fake dating to the mix, it's just the perfect combination for my ideal rom-com.

My desi heart is going to be so happy reading this
