Khufiya starring Tabu, Ali Fazal and Wamiqa Gabbi released on Netflix on October 5 and here’s what the Janta thought about the film!
Khufiya is a spy thriller written, produced and directed by one of the most prolific filmmakers of the industry aka Vishal Bhardwaj. The film is an adaptation of Amar Bhushan’s espionage novel Escape to Nowhere. None other than Tabu helms this film on her shoulder. She plays the character of Krishna Mehra, an operative at RAW. She is assigned to track down the mole who is selling India’s defense secrets while also navigating her dual lifestyle as a spy and a lover. Some other popular talents like Ali Fazal, Wamiqa Gabbi, Ashish Vidyarthi and Atul Kulkarni also play pivotal roles in the film.
Once in a while there comes a film that divides the audience into two teams. Some like it but some just don’t connect with the story and Khufiya turns out to be one of them. While a majority of the Janta are not that convinced with the film and say that it lacks the kind of engagement a spy thriller needs, there are a few who really loved the cast, especially the main leads.

Vishal Bharadwaj showed how a tight spy thriller should feel like. #KhufiyaOnNetflix is one the best movies you will see this year. Spying isn’t as fashionable as shown in Pathaan or Tiger!

The cast is formidable! Just I missed Irrfan! Imagine him in place of #alifazal #Khufiya pic.twitter.com/WJchwVCVMb
Khufiya is a signature Vishal Bharadwaj movie, except it isn't. It's a classic slow-burn with apt casting and neat Rahul Ram numbers, but lacks the Vishal Bharadwaj finesse and brevity. It could have been a really good movie, had it been shorter by 30 minutes.#KhufiyaOnNetflix pic.twitter.com/noqsq9ahxS

Well done ladies ♥️ Bravo 👏
5 years back on this day Tabu gave a powerful performance in Andhadhun and today again I was delighted to see her performance in Khufiya.#KhufiyaonNetflix pic.twitter.com/AWo7uIDQ5n

#KhufiyaOnNetflix : An engaging thriller that keeps you hooked, leaving you on the edge of your seat throughout. Each main character plays their part well, but it's @GabbiWamiqa who truly shines, her performance is nothing short of spectacular, infusing the screen with ++ pic.twitter.com/1WOVF2EjA6

A thriller should have some edge-of-the-seat moments and a gripping central plot but even scenes that are supposed to evoke tension – like the one in which KM tries to bug the protagonist's home – fail to excite. Swinging from a spy’s internal demons to elements that explain 2/

The film is a must-watch for fans of spy thrillers, with its gripping storyline, stunning visuals, and top-notch performances of the cast; especially Tabu is brilliant in the lead. Kudos to @VishalBhardwaj & team for this gem!
The magic of #tabu and the brilliance of @VishalBhardwaj @alifazal9 @GabbiWamiqa makes #Khufiya a searing watch #Netflix

Sorry to report this but #Khufiya is not just an uncomfortably clunky espionage thriller, but also a banal look at hidden identities. The queer subtext is shallow and explored superficially. #Netflix pic.twitter.com/2Y3rU1FQQ2
