Citadel: Honey Bunny stars Samantha Ruth Prabhu, Varun Dhawan, Kashvi Majmundar and Kay Kay Menon and works as a prequel to Citadel (2023).
This Indian chapter of this international spy franchise quickly delves into Honey, Bunny and their intertwined destiny that results in Nadia, their child and their past catching up to them. Developed by Sita R. Menon and the Russo Brothers and directed by Raj & DK, this series seems to have worked for the Janta given all the praise its being showered with on Twitter. While some have loved the storyline, most are raving about the lead actors and the action sequences throughout the series! The Janta is definitely eager for season 2 and can't wait to see what more Raj & DK have to offer.
Here's what the Janta had to say about this one!
#CitadelHoneyBunny has been watched and man, Raj & dk did not disappoint. Varun Dhawan nailed it and doubled the excitement for baby john, samantha was too good in action scenes and man that camera work 🤌🏻 overall a really great watch.pic.twitter.com/wvvtj5pqOz

#CitadelHoneyBunny has many heart touching emotional scenes. The bond betn Honey-Bunny, Honey n Nadia, Bunny-Nadia, bunny, chako and ludo, Baba's part. You feel connected to the characters. So well written! And some things still left for closure. Bring on S2 💗🤌 pic.twitter.com/scNIkEI0aE

While #Samantha steals the show in #CitadelHoneyBunny, this scene shows made me chuckle and shows what a fabulous performer #kaykaymenon really is. #CitadelHoneyBunnyOnPrime pic.twitter.com/JwpzgQ7WOl

I’m yet to get over @Samanthaprabhu2 performance in #CitadelHoneyBunny. She’s absolutely fabulous! There’s a scene in which she scares her father, that’s deliciously vicious! She’s a quintessential international actor. Indian cinema isn’t able to justify her talent. pic.twitter.com/fACF5yfJQa

Appreciation tweet for Kashvi as Jr. Nadia, she is so young, but what an actress she is. Her dialogue delivery and the way she performed in series just loved it. #CitadelHoneyBunny pic.twitter.com/M5iZd0rJ5Y

Not a single "slow-motion" scene in the whole #CitadelHunnyBunny series.

Raj & DK Humour 😂😂#CitadelHunnyBunny pic.twitter.com/5C5MRPDzDb
It's good, better than the original Citadel. Both Samantha and Varun are great but it could have been a 5 episode series, at the end I felt a little jaded and dragged. Raj & DK have done better. 3/5. #CitadelHoneyBunnyOnPrime #CitadelHunnyBunny pic.twitter.com/x8YeAnqAH0

#CitadelHunnyBunny is an amazing attempt. The only thing the distracted me was Varun’s acting skills and Samantha’s cosmetic face. Loved the child artist, action scenes, Samanth’s performance and the direction.
