India preps to re-visit the 90s after Prasar Bharti shares its announcement to re-telecast Mahabharat and Ramayan on DD national.
Prasar Bharti's CEO, Shashi Shekar announced on 25th March 2020 that they are working with the right holders to the famous Mahabharat and Ramayan series for re-telecasting the same on public demand during this long country-wide lockdown. The broadcaster will air two episodes per day from Saturday, one in the morning at 9 am and the other at 9 pm in the evening. A large number of people have been talking about the popular mythological show and how they began their Sunday morning with the same.
This became a hot topic of discussion on Twitter after the PM Narendra Modi announced nation-wide lockdown following the spread of Coronavirus.
