Check out this list of pre-MCU movies that were badly directed much to every Marvel fan's dismay.
Marvel is undeniably one of the biggest comic studios in the movie business, but this massive studio has had its share of dark days. There was a pre-MCU period that many of us, including Marvel, completely forgot existed. There's a stark difference between these movies and the current movies that are a part of the MCU universe. What makes most MCU movies so enthralling is that their storyline is thoughtfully synced throughout. What we're left with then, is watching it all unravel one movie at a time. Fans are always excited to watch their favorite comic book characters come to life. Marvel might have successfully entered into its 4th phase, but before we began admiring and religiously following our favorite characters, there was a period that failed to capture this frenzy. The movies released in this phase not only failed at the BO but were also dissected by the critics.
Before we were introduced to the extravagant life of billionaire and philanthropist - Iron Man, that actually opened the road to MCU, Marvel comics was considered a failure in capturing the essence of their stories in their movies. The audience was introduced to these movies with a bad storyline that was nothing like the story in the comics. Poor casting, terrible costumes, and action sequences kind of ruined these comics for fans, until the MCU came into play.
We made a list of pre-MCU movies that will make you thank god for the MCU, really!
