Our mood often reflects what we watch and since we're already knee deep into festivities, here are some movies with Navratri scenes that you can watch with your friends and family post garba night!
Navratri is the only festival that is celebrated across our country in such diverse ways. Some celebrate it by playing garba and dandiya, some celebrate through Durga pujas and down south it is celebrated by keeping Golus. The festival brings out an energetic spirit in everyone around and we collectively gear up to bring our best garba moves across all the nine days. As we know, Bollywood and festivals always go hand in hand. Since songs play such an important role in our movies, Navratri indeed serves as an amazing way to not only include songs for entertainment but also move the story forward faster and better! There have been so many movies over the years that have contributed to our evergreen Navratri playlists and also help us elevate our garba energy by re-watching them during the festive season.

Here are our ultimate go-to films when it comes to bringing out the essence of Navratri!
Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam
Salman Khan and Aishwarya Rai’s iconic song Dholi Taaro Dhol remains one of the most classic Navratri scenes in Hindi cinema. There’s bright costumes, energetic choreography and above it all there’s love blooming in the middle of all the garba!
Loveyartri
The film might not be a masterpiece in terms of storytelling but it gave us a garba classic like Chogada that is played at every Navratri event annually!
Kai Po Che
They say if you are actually single by the end of Navratri then you actually played garba but seems like most Bollywood songs related to the festival also go hand in hand with confessions of love and more!
Satyaprem Ki Katha
Katha played by Kiara Advani is a garba expert and the whole community looks forward to her performance every year at the fest. The movie as a whole is based on two gujarati families and the festival of Navratri is where the main leads meet each other for the first time!
Ram Leela
In Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s universe, Navratri has always been a great segway for taking the story forward through songs. Be it love at first sight with Lahu Muh Lagg Gaya or tensions arising between two families through Nagada Sang Dhol. Both these songs give us max garba feels while also playing a pivotal role in storytelling.
Gangubai Kathiawadi
A movie that centered around the struggles of a prostitute in Kamathipura, Dholida was a song that broke the stereotypical way of how Bollywood usually portrays sex workers. Seeing all of them shut shop for the first time ever and celebrate Navratri made us as viewers connect to the fact that they’re humans too!
Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahani
Navratri is celebrated in the form of Durga Puja in West Bengal and many other parts of our country. One such scene in the film brings out the essence of Durga Ma’s energy by making a strong statement through the form of dance. Ranveer Singh’s version of Dola re Dola that set everyone straight in his family about what’s ‘masculine’ and what’s not to him and Alia openly dancing to Dhindora Baje Re whilst not caring about what people think spoke volumes in the movie.
