For everyone who hates the rain just as much as I do, here is a list of things that you’re going to relate to.
Not everyone romanticizes rain; few dread the idea of being outside when it pours. I'm one of those few, and I wouldn't say I like the idea of rain. As cliché as it may sound, I will always despise people who voluntarily run into the rain to enjoy the season's shower. The idea of stepping outside and being in the middle of the downpour is why I never look forward to rain. That doesn't mean you won't find me sitting on my balcony, enjoying a good chai-snack combo or playing the most iconic Malayalam songs by Johnson mashu to get into the vibe. But being locked in my house while it rains holds more gravitas in my life and there are a bunch of reasons to prove it.
Monsoons are not as fun as people who love the season may think. When they see the beauty of the season, all I can do is count days until it's October again. Imagine you are moving with a fear of stepping into a puddle or touching people who may also be drenched in this constantly damp weather. The thought of it is gross enough, but it's not the only thing that gives me the 'ick' during the monsoon. There's a whole list of things that I'm sure all my fellow rainhaters will agree with.
