From giving up on our diet for those scrumptious modaks to enjoying all the noise around, there are a bunch of things that we enjoy during Ganesh Chaturthi.
There are a lot of things that only make sense during festivals, and India has a bunch of reasons to make sense of them. The beauty of festivals is the fact that it’s not just about a family but an entire community. People walking on the streets, engaging with each other, sharing wishes and basking in the nirvana of the season is everything we look forward to each year. Ganesh Chaturthi is the perfect example of what a ‘festival of the people’ means and feels like. Each year we get to witness thousands marching around, hopping from one pandal to the other to see different renditions of the same God and getting excited for each of them. The vibe is top notch and there are things that we only get to enjoy during this festival. Either for bigger pandals or at the smaller ones in our homes, these moments all feel the same and we know you’ll agree too.
