Fictional foods have often made us salivate and crave something like that IRL! Here’s every popular fictional food we’d absolutely love to binge on if we had the chance!
Be honest, at some point while watching a movie or a TV show, you must have looked at the food that the characters were eating and thought, ‘Man, that thing looks delicious’. Yes, all of us have been there, done that! The content that we watch is not just for us to invest our time and emotions in but sometimes it also unexpectedly stimulates our appetite. I mean all of us have wanted to know what a butterbeer from Harry Potter tastes like or want a Michelin star chef to cook us a banger meal that we’ll never forget (Yes Carmy, we’re looking at you!) It is fascinating to see how we crave something that technically isn’t even real!

Check out some of the most popular fictional foods we’d love to try!
Butterbeer - Harry Potter
Who wouldn’t want to get their hands on the creamy butterbeer from Harry Potter? While a real life version of it is available at the Wizarding World of Harry Potter in London, not all of us can really afford to go grab a drink there. For now, we can just watch it through the screen and wonder how refreshing it would feel to get a jar of butterbeer with your friends.
Rachel’s shepard pie - FRIENDS
While it was known to not be good, we’re still curious to know how it would feel to eat a combination of beef, lady finger, peas, jam and cream all together!
Willy Wonka’s entire chocolate factory
The entire chocolate factory from the grass, to the fountain, to the walls, everything is edible at Willy Wonka’s chocolate factory. It would be an absolute dream to visit it and eat chocolate made by the chocolate master himself.
Tteokbokki - Love Next Door
K-dramas are big on food! From ramen to tteokbokki which is a popular street food in Korea, there’s so much you crave while watching the shows. In Love Next Door, we see Seok Ryu’s dad own a tteokbokki shop and it made me want to fly to Korea asap and get my hands on the spicy rice cakes!
The jam sandwich Sid makes Aisha on her birthday
The jam sandwich that Sid made Aisha not only looks like a makeshift cake but also holds sentimental value. He made it for her spontaneously when he learned it was her birthday. We’re rather curious to know what an only jam cake tastes like!
The chocolate cake from Matilda that Bruce had to gulp down
What was supposed to be a punishment from Ms Trunchbull to Bruce turned out to be a rather viral cake that everyone wanted to try! Honestly we’d say Ms Trunchbull only did us all a favor by introducing that cake to the world!
Edmund’s favorite Turkish delight - Chronicles of Narnia
Turkish delights were Edmund’s biggest weakness and that’s what the ice queen used to get him to pass on half the information that he did about his siblings! Wish we could try some of it to know what’s so amazing about it for him to have lost track of everything!
Ratatouille that takes you back to your childhood
The ratatouille looked so colorful and delicious in the film! Just like the food critic, we’d love to have the same out of this world experience when one eats it at Remy’s restaurant.
Ladoos - Bharat Halwai
Wish we had a Bharat Halwai so we could order ladoos from there ‘jab koi bhi occasion vocassion ho, shaadi ya sagai’.
The omelet made by Sydney - The Bear season 2
Forget just the omelet, we want Sydney herself to make it for us. It was genius of her to put those crushed chips on top, it looked rather appealing on-screen! We’d have it for breakfast everyday if we could, tbh!
The biscuits Ted Lasso got Rebecca every morning
Who doesn’t love a good biscuit to munch on every morning? Especially the ones Ted used to get Rebecca in that pretty pink box. It looks so tempting, it makes us want to reach through the screen and grab one for ourselves!
