Farhan Akhtar charged with police complaint following his post on CAA protest.
A complaint has been filed against the Bollywood actor Farhan Akhtar for one of his Twitter posts that encouraged people to be part of the CAA protest in Mumbai. The post had a distorted image of the map of India which did not include Kashmir. The actor later posted an apology for posting the same and said,'I recently posted a message about a protest meeting on December 19th with a repost of a graphic about the meeting. While I stand by the text, I have only just noticed that the map of India on the graphic is inaccurate. Every inch and part of Kashmir is a part of India and I reject the inaccurate map. I regret not noticing this earlier. My sincerest apologies for the oversight.' the complaint said that the actor did not take the map or the graphic down. However, the actor's apology didn't have the expected result, in fact, Tweeple started tweeting their opinions with the hashtag #BoycottFarhanAkhtar calling him an anti-national for the same and claiming that he has less information about what CAA is.
Take a look at the post that created a stir:
Here’s what you need to know about why these protests are important. See you on the 19th at August Kranti Maidan, Mumbai. The time to protest on social media alone is over. pic.twitter.com/lwkyMCHk2v

It is important for people of India to call out the hypocrisy of @FarOutAkhtar. He continues displaying the map of India without Kashmir after accepting it to be wrong. This is the hypocrisy of man who knows nothing of #CAA. I have filed a police complaint in Goa. #FarhanAkhtar
