With OTT shows coming up with an array of stories and concepts, the viewers can find a lot of unimaginable as well as relatable content online. While there are several genres and characters that have evolved and entertained audiences over time but today, we'll be focusing on how reel-fathers have changed over the years. In the last decade itself, there have been some well*written and well-portrayed on-screen dads.
The stigma of an alpha male persona that was attached to a father is being eliminated with many father characters being given a touch of realism. A series of father characters on various OTT shows have proved how a father-child relation is equally or more so emotional and warm that their often highlighted bond with mothers. Getting to see these on-screen dads support, love, make mistakes and try to mend relations is something that we all could connect and relate to.
