Footballer Neymar has now moved ahead of the legendary Ronaldo Nazario in the country's all-time goalscorer rankers
Brazillian Football champion, Neymar, is the happy dose every football fanatic needs! With his hat-trick in Brazil's 4-2 win over Peru, Neymar is now at 64 international goals, achieving second place in the country's list of highest goalscorers.
The new record was set during the ongoing 2020 FIFA World Cup Qualifier - against Peru, on Tuesday, where he scored a hat-trick registering a win to Brazil. Neymar has taken his international tally to 64 in just 104 games, which is two more than the legendary retired Ronaldo Nazario who had a score of 62 goals in 98 matches for Brazil.
By this, Neymar's fans are eager to see him move forward with more goals to take him near another Legendary striker Pele who leads the chart of highest goalscorers in Brazil. Pele has a total of 77 goals! This 28-year-old has come a long way since the day he made a debut in the year 2009 as a 17-year-old boy. Post the 62 goals, as a tribute to Ronaldo or popularly called 'R9', Neymar imitated his famous finger-wagging celebration while showing his tongue.
