Emmy Award winner Vir Das and Aditya Roy Kapur, along with The Night Manager team, shine at the 2024 International Emmy Awards, proudly representing Indian talent on the global stage.
The 52nd International Emmy Awards took place at the New York Hilton Midtown in New York City. The prestigious ceremony that brought together over 56 nominees from 21 countries, including Argentina, Australia, Brazil, France, India, and the UK, showcasing global excellence in television aired live in the US, while audiences in India streamed it today. Organized and presented by the International Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (IATAS), the awards were hosted by none other than our very own Vir Das! This would be the first time an Indian comedian and actor, who won an International Emmy Award in 2023 for his stand-up special Landing, ended up hosting the event, adding his touch of humour and charisma to the star-studded night.

However, that was not all from the Indial! Aditya Roy Kapur, along with creator and director Sandeep Modi and the team of The Night Manager, graced the red carpet. The show, starring Anil Kapoor, Sobhita Dhulipala, and Kapur, was nominated in the highly competitive Best Drama Series category. It faced strong contenders, including France’s Les Gouttes de Dieu (Drops of God), which won the Best Drama Series award. India's sole entry to the International Emmys 2024, The Night Manager, despite its acclaim for being an Indian remake of the British show that won three Golden Globes when it came out, fell short of victory. The 2024 International Emmy Awards honoured the finest television programs produced and aired outside of the United States in 2023, highlighting the diverse talent and creativity from around the globe.
