The French Riveria was hustling, bustling, with all the glam and filmy mode as the Cannes Film Festival concluded its third day. After the thunderous honorary premiere of George Miller's Furiosa, the festival screened the much-anticipated film of the year, Megalopolis, marking the return of Godfather filmmaker Francis Ford Coppola after many years. As the red carpet of Megalopolis premiere saw quite well-known faces with their glam game on for Indians, it was all about Aishwarya Rai, who didn't fail to disappoint. Many Indian content creators also had their debuts, and a fun fact is that this time around, Cannes 2024 has 17 films of female directors in the official selection line-up across all sections. The Indian OG queen of Cannes, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, finally showed up at the film festival and, as usual, proved why we eagerly wait for her Cannes looks each time! Dressed in a Falguni Shane Peacock customized black and gold butterfly gown, Aishwarya mesmerized the red carpet staged for the Megalopolis premiere.
Francis Ford Coppola's Megalopolis star-studded premiere
The much-talked-about film Francis Ford Coppola's Megalopolis has its debut premiere, and it was quite the star-studded affair as the stars of the film, including Adam Driver, Shia LaBeouf, Aubrey Plaza, and others, all walked the red carpet at the Grand Théâtre Lumière. This film is said to be a 50-year-old passion project for the 85-year-old Coppola that has been rewritten 300 times over.
Andrea Arnold's Bird receives a thunderous 7-minute standing ovation
Festival favorite Andrea Arnold, who has won three Cannes jury prizes before, is back with another socialist realist film starring Saltburn's famous Barry Keoghan and other first-time actors. The film about a father and his two children received a thunderous seven-minute standing ovation after its screening.

Bharat Pavilion interactions and Indian debut at Cannes 2024
Many well-known Indian content creators like Ayush Mehra, Ankush Bahuguna, Sharan Hegde, Vishnu Kaushal, Viraj Ghelani, RJ Karishma, and others were seen in an interaction inside the Bharat Pavilion. Currently being called the national crush of India after his Heeramandi success, Taha Shah Badussha was seen debuting at Cannes 2024.

The appearance of Anatomy of a Fall's famed dog Messi at the 77th Cannes is stealing all the spotlight and all for the pawfully right reasons. The canine celebrity received the honor of Palm Dog last year, a special prize created by journalists after seeing his performance as Snoop.

French Actress Judith Godreche, who was there to present her short film Me Too, along with many women belonging to the Association for the Prevention of Violence against Women, symbolically posed with a gesture of hands covering their mouths on the Marches Rouges.
