On the tenth day of Cannes, India had a shining moment as Payal Kapadia's film All We Imagine As Light premiered and Chidananda's Sunflowers Were the First Ones to Know won at La Cinef.
It's the tenth day of Cannes 2024, and as things wrap up at the film festival, India has its glorious moment with Payal Kapadia and Chidanada S Naik's films. But that's not all; Aditi Rao Hydari and Urvashi Rautela had their Cannes red carpet moment as they walked across the infamous stairs of the French Riviera, and many stars showed up at the yearly amfAR Cinema Against AIDS Cannes Gala. La Cinef section of the film festival, which focuses on discovering new talents and bringing new voices from cinema schools around the world, held its award ceremony.

Films were screened
On the tenth day, the festival held screenings of Beating Hearts by Gilles Lellouche, Nasty by Tudor Giurgiu, Tudor D Popescu, Cristian Pascariu, To Live To Die To Live Again by Gael Morel, Norah by Twafik Aalzidi, and Niki by Celine Sallette.
amfAR Cinema Against AIDS Cannes gala was star-studded
Some of the biggest stars like Demi Moore, Cher, Nick Jonas, Michelle Yeoh, Heidi Klum, and others were seen attending this gala to raise money for AIDS research.

Aditi Rao Hydari, after walking into the Fench Riviera in her Gajagamini style, appeared on the red carpet in a Gaurav Gupta black-and-white ensemble, while Uravshi Rautela, who had been seen adorning different looks, was once again seen on the carpet in a floor-length pink bodycon gown.
Chidananda S Naik's Sunflowers Were the First Ones to Know won at La Cinef
The FTII Pune student film Sunflowers Were the First Ones to Know, made by Chindananda S Naik, made India proud as it became the winning film out of the 18 student films that premiered at the La Cinef section this year at Cannes.
Payal Kapadia's film All We Imagine As Light gets an 8-minute standing ovation
All We Imagine As Light, the much-awaited film, especially for Indians, had its premiere. The cast, crew, and director Payal were seen dancing while walking down the red carpet. It was a proud moment for the country as, after 30 years, an Indian film is in competition for the Palme d'Or, and also Payal Kapadia is the first Indian woman to have been bestowed this honor.
