The look of the characters in Zoya Akhtar's The Archies is similar to the characters from Riverdale as it's also an extension of Archies but in a darker sense.
Archie Comics is one of the world's largest 60s comic book franchises in the world of superheroes. So when Netflix released the first poster and trailer for Zoya Akhtar's The Archies, netizens instantly began comparing the kid-led production to the popular American teen web series, Riverdale, which is also based on Archie comics.
The film, similar to the original comics, will center on a group of teenagers, featuring Betty Cooper, Veronica Lodge, Archie Andrews, Jughead Jones, and more. While it marks Suhana, Khushi, and Agastya's debut in the film industry, Dot, Yuvraj Menda, and Vedang Raina will also be starring in Archies.
We noticed these similarities between Riverdale and Archies!
Suhana Khan is donning long black hair and a dress similar to Veronica Lodge. Camila Mendes, an American actor, and singer plays this role in Riverdale.
Khush Kapoor seems to be playing Betty Cooper since she has identical bangs and a similar makeover. Lili Reinhart, an American actress, plays this role in Riverdale.
Agastya Nanda (Amitabh Bachchan’s grandson) as Archie Andrews
Agastya Nanda looks to be playing Archie Andrews. His hair is curled similarly to Archie's, and he is clothed similarly to Archie's. Keneti James Apa, a New Zealand actor essayed this in Riverdale.
Mihir Ahuja would most likely play Jughead. The character is obsessed with eating food and is seen with half-closed eyes and a sweatshirt. He's an outcast known for his sarcastic sense of humor and is Archie's best buddy. In Riverdale, Cole Sprouse played this role.
And here is what the netizens have to say about this similarity!
