Netflix leads with 27 nominations at the 94th academy awards

Netflix's The Power of the Dog leads all titles with 12 nominations at the 94th academy awards. Jane Campion is the first woman to be nominated twice for Best Director.

Netflix led with 27 nominations across 10 titles and various 17 categories as The Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences announced their nominations for the 94th academy awards. The Power of the Dog led all titles with 12 nominations. Breaking records, Jane Campion (The Power of the Dog) is the first woman to be nominated twice for Best Director at the Oscars. Furthermore, Ari Wegner (The Power of the Dog) is the second woman to be nominated for Cinematography.
