It was earlier today that PM Narendra Modi took to Twitter to confirm that Trump will be joining him for a pre-scheduled community programme in Houston on the 22nd of September. Over 50,000 people have signed up to attend the event which will be held at Houston’s NRG stadium. Narendra Modi and Donald Trump, coming together to address a gathering of over tens of thousands of US citizens is being perceived as a huge and unprecedented step towards forging stronger relations between the two nations.

The White House Press Secretary shared an official statement which read, “It will be a great opportunity to emphasize the strong ties between the people of the United States and India, to reaffirm the strategic partnership between the world’s oldest and largest democracies, and to discuss ways to deepen their energy and trade relationship".
