The JNU attacks have left people exasperated, especially the youth of the nation. Mumbaikars protested at Gateway to voice their concerns.
The recent JNU attacks against the students and staff of the university have brought a storm across the country with many cities joining in hands to protest against the act. Mumbai showed its support against the violence as soon as the pictures and videos of the violence started making rounds. Coming together, Mumbaikars protested at Gateway of India. The protest that began on Sunday as a silent one, became a chain protest on Monday. Despite being a working day, the Gateway protest saw a crowd of 1000+ people that included working professionals and students who stayed up all night chanting and showing their disapproval on the atrocities faced by the students in Delhi. The people chanted slogans condemning the violence. However, after 36 hours of the protest, Mumbai police has relocated the protesters and shifted them from Gateway of India to Azad Maidan.
Netizens took to social media to spread the word as Mumbaikars protested at Gateway:

Look at how @MumbaiPolice calmly explain giving reasons why they have relocated the protestors. Huge huge respect to them for making sure the protest happen safely. https://t.co/Emm4akpkxB
