The state of Maharashtra goes voting to elect their new government as the next legislative elections are held today, on 21st October 2019.
The Devendra Fadnavis led government has completed its 5 years and the people of Maharashtra are all ser to vote this election to choose their next leader. Maharashtra elections 2019 have a total of 3239 candidates contesting for the chance to be a part of the State assembly. It also marks the first state elections after the national election held this year in May 2019. While Shiv Sena and BJP are in an alliance, the other alliance formed is between NCP and Congress.
Citizens are getting inked today as they go and cast their votes. People who have voted could be seen urging others to exercise their right of choosing the officials by voting in the Maharastra Elections 2019 on Twitter.
