Paris Saint-Germain and France striker, Kylian Mbappe has been named as the cover athlete for Fifa 2021.
The 21-years-old Paris Saint-Germain and France striker, Kylian Mbappe in recent years has emerged as one of football's brightest stars. He was part of France and won the World Cup in 2018 months after Monaco reached the Champions League semifinals with his help. He has also won three consecutive Ligue 1 titles with PSG. His contract with PSG will expire in 2022, but the footballer has no plans of leaving his current club.
The football star has been named as the cover athlete for the Fifa 2021 computer game. Mbappe became the second Paris Saint-Germain player to appear on the FIFA cover. Previously it was Real Madrid star Eden Mazard who was the cover athlete in 2020. He was quoted by ESPN saying, "Being on the cover of FIFA is a dream come true. From my time at Bondy to Clairefontaine to the World Cup, this marks another big milestone."

Konami is creating a brand new overhauled version of Pro Evo for the next generation of consoles and the decision to make him the cover athlete was a result of the same. Fifa 2021 will simply act as an update to 2020.
