Jersey is a remake of a Telugu film by the same name starring Shahid Kapoor and Mrunal Thakur in pivotal roles and is releasing theatrically.
Jersey starring Shahid Kapoor and Mrunal Thakur after much wait is finally releasing in theatres. The film's trailer was released recently and from the looks of it, it's a powerful story of a cricketer who rises back up from ashes. The film is a Hindi remake of a Telugu movie by the same name and is directed by the same director, Gowtam Tinnanuri, who made the original as well.
The movie follows the story of a famous cricketer who for some reason has given up on the game. In the trailer, we see a broken Shahid Kapoor stealing from his wife, Mrunal Thakur's purse to buy something that his son asked for. It looks like the lead's past is standing before him once again in the form of his son. And because of his son, he is pushed towards picking up the bat again in his thirties and making a comeback in full form while dealing with the pressure of his successful professional career. He then goes back to his mentor played by Pankaj Kapur.
The film is releasing in theatres on December 31. What are your thoughts about Jersey's trailer? Don't forget to tell us in the comments below!
