Sam Bahadur

Sam Bahadur starring Vicky Kaushal and Sanya Malhotra released in theaters on December 1 and here’s what the Janta had to say about it.

Sam Bahadur is based on the life of Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw, who was one of the greatest soldiers our country has ever seen. Vicky Kaushal plays the titular role in the film and Sanya Malhotra plays his wife Sillo Bode. The film is directed by Meghna Gulzar and this is her second collaboration with Kaushal after Raazi (2018). The movie spans from 1914 right up till 1970s, covering his entire journey from a soldier to a Field Marshal, all his triumphs and loses, his achievements and difficulties and how he lived through it all. Fatima Sana Sheikh plays Indira Gandhi in the film whose decisions as Prime Minister play a pivotal role in Sam Maneskshaw’s life. The songs in the film are by Shankar Ehsaan-Loy.

Vicky Kaushal has previously played roles related to army men (Uri: The Surgical Strike and Sardar Uddham) and with Sam Bahadur, he adds another feather to this genre that he’s so good at. The Janta has only good things to say about his performance in the film and truly believes that this is one of his best works so far!
