Mr and Mrs Mahi starring Janhvi Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao released on May 31 in theaters and here's what the Janta has to say about the film!
A romantic sports drama, Mr & Mrs Mahi is directed by Sharan Sharma and produced by Zee Studios and Dharma Productions. The film stars Rajkummar Rao and Janhvi Kapoor and follows Mahendra Agarwal, a promising cricketer who is forced to work in his father's sports equipment business and Mahima, a doctor with a suppressed dream of being a cricketer. Mahendra discovers Mahima's cricket skills and becomes her coach, changing the course of their arranged marriage. Together, they pass through cultural expectations and personal goals, seeking family acknowledgment and support while delving into issues of self-discovery, dreams, and love in the cricket world.
Released last Friday in theatres, the Janta is in two minds about the film. The chemistry between Rajkummar Rao and Janhvi Kapoor captures the essence of their characters' relationship, according to them. The climax, in particular, has left viewers in awe but, on the other hand, there are also a few who felt like the film's message at the end of the day was too predicatable and was a done and dusted trope.
Check out their reactions!
Mr. & Mrs. Mahi is a classic example of everything wrong with Bollywood. A cricket movie with soft nationalism is released after the IPL season. Screams formula from start to end. And for some reason Sir producer extraordinaire thinks this is a great idea. 🤦♂️

Friday night plans: Went to watch Mr. & Mrs. Mahi with friends and successfully wasted 2 hours of my life. Which unsurprisingly is the exact number of expressions given by Janhvi Kapoor in the entirety of the movie

I always love them and Mr & Mrs Mahi is one of it
It has a really good portion of a little bit of everything, it's not the most groundbreaking rom-com per se, but it is great & I have a really good time pic.twitter.com/3bPUjjs84K
Cricket and marriage get into an awkward tangle in Mr & Mrs Mahi, a sports melodrama that hinges on action on the field of play and plenty of reaction off it, mostly in the realms of a relationship that runs into tricky terrain.#MrAndMrsMahi

Mr & Mrs Mahi Review: Rajkummar Rao, always on an even turf, delivers Mahendra's recriminations. Janhvi Kapoor's Mahima does a good job of swaying between indecisive and assertive.#MrAndMrsMahi
