Blackout

Starring Vikrant Massey, Blackout released on Jio Cinema on June 7 and here’s what the Janta thought about the film!

Blackout takes viewers on a wild ride through a single chaotic night in Pune. Directed by Devang Bhavsar and produced by Jyoti Deshpande and Niraj Kothari, this thriller stars Vikrant Massey, Mouni Roy, Ruhani Sharma, Sunil Grover, Jisshu Sengupta and others. This film also has content creators, Karan Sonawane and Saurabh Gadge in it. The story follows Vikrant Massey as Lenny D'Souza, a crime reporter known for his sting operations. During a city-wide blackout, Lenny's simple trip to buy anda pav turns into a nightmare. He finds himself caught in accidents, shootouts, gang wars, and conspiracies, all while dealing with detectives, police, and stolen gold. ‘Blackout’ is a fast-paced story filled with suspense and unexpected twists.

Released on Jio Cinema last Friday, Blackout attempts to be many things at once - an ironic commentary on human behaviour, a humour with plot twists, a revenge crime thriller filled with gang wars, a mystery with a detective solving the case, and a dark comedy. However, it ultimately ends up working for the Janta.
