Kanika Dhillon's new film Do Patti, co-produced with Kriti Sanon—who stars in a double role alongside Kajol and Shaheer Sheikh—has left the Janta divided!
Netflix's latest release, Do Patti, written and co-produced by Kanika Dhillon alongside debut producer Kriti Sanon, has officially left the Janta in two minds about the movie since its release. The film follows the story of twin sisters Saumya and Shailee, both played by Sanon, who clash over Dhruv Sood (Shaheer Sheikh) and find themselves entangled in a twisting tale of domestic violence where mysteriously, he, as the husband, is accused of attempting to murder his wife which is to be unravelled by police officer-turned-lawyer Satya (Kajol).

The film has janta either entirely in love with it or calling it an absolute waste of time. While all the actors, from Kriti Sanon, and Kajol to Shaheer, who makes his film debut with this film, get applauded for their work, the film as a whole, especially in terms of writing, becomes a disappointment for many people. However, some felt the issue of domestic violence being depicted in the film got as close to reality and left them rather emotional as the end credits rolled.
Here's what the janta is saying!
Netflix asked kanika dhillon to give them the script of "Do Patti" but she misheard it as "Do Tatti" and handed them over her fresh tatti in the name of script.

@kritisanon From Marvellous actress to National Award winner to versatile actress playing robot to an entrepreneur and a producer now. Did complete justice to both characters who were so diverse in ur 1st production. You are incredibly inspiring us. Keep it up 😊#DoPatti pic.twitter.com/rMmFS82SWX

Do Patti - This is what happens when you take a third grade story with b grade actors to portray a thriller and shove social issues down the throat of audiences. Loopholes as big as galaxies, non sense dialogues, pointless sexuality and idiotic and forgettable characters.

Although the story wasn't too unpredictable for the most part, the end scene with the fbs & the song was really emotional. 🥺😭
Amazing job by the entire team! 👏🏻 pic.twitter.com/HISI8Aglis

#DoPatti was a mess.. Unrealistic, unlikeable characters but still it was very engaging. Kriti Sanon was crazy good!! Her best performance along with Mimi and TBMAUKJ. I want her wardrobe as Shailee😍 pic.twitter.com/9P96HXxXJc

Miss Sanon, you made me cry 😭 What a performer you are! I was like, how long are you going to stay quiet, Saumya? Speak up! Just Speak up! The way you conveyed Saumya's pain, trauma and emotions is truly outstanding 👏👌#KritiSanon #DoPatti pic.twitter.com/gCaRoBjrRJ

Just watched Do Patti and broke down crying - it hit too close to home. Thinking of my aunt and countless others who were told to 'adjust' in the face of domestic violence. We've normalized silence for generations.#DoPatti #DoPattiOnNetflix

Kajol and Kirti starrer #DoPatti is such a drag, it’s so cringe and confusing in storyline. None of the characters have depth, no twist great enough. There is no takeaway, no after thought here. What a waste of time
