Helmed by Vikramaditya Motwane, CTRL primarily unfolds through a gaze inside a person's digital life. It stars Ananya Panday as this young, popular, and successful influencer, Nella, who is dating Joy (Vihaan Samat) and they're popular as 'NJOY'. After a very public break-up, she ends up relying on an AI assistant, Allen that helps her digitally erase Joy from her life which co-incidentally also makes him disappear in real life. While exploring influencer culture, the film is a commentary on the repercussions of the digital era that has made us so reliant on it that we have forgotten how to exist or feel human without it.
The Janta seems to be in love with this film because it explores a new innovative format of screenlife to warn us about the horrors of technology. Apart from praising Vikramaditya Motwane for constantly pushing boundaries and experimenting with filmmaking, the Janta cannot help but show appreciation for Ananya Panday. Most people refer to her as a new Gen Z actor who, with her choices, is slowly showing her mettle as an actor and a future star. People also seem to be effectively in utter shock after watching the film and what it portrays!

Okay, Ananya Pandey can act, and I love this new Gen Z OTT era for her. But Ananya cheated on Vihaan in 'Call Me Bae' and Vihaan cheated on her in '#CTRL' so it's a break-even, right? In the third show/series, they'll start fresh, right?
